Who we are
National Association of Owners of Private Forests
“Gorovladeletz”, is an association of individuals and legal entities. It is a non-profit association that carries out its activities in the protection of forest owners and their representatives.

Our mission
Our mission is to unite and support forest owners in Bulgaria by promoting sustainable and responsible management of forest resources. We strive to protect the interests of our members, develop good practices in forestry and contribute to nature conservation. Through active dialogue with institutions, scientific circles and society, we work to create a favorable environment for effective and environmentally friendly forest management.
The association achieves its goals through cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations and services, with parliamentary committees and the like, as well as with those internationally for the development and implementation of regulatory acts and decisions regulating the management and management of private forests. We actively participate in the preparation of the Forest Act and its amendments, as well as the regulations to the law. Through us, forest owners can submit their opinions and proposals to state institutions and organizations concerning our activities. Our members are cooperatives, associations, individuals and municipalities that own forests. Dozens of forest owners are united in cooperatives and associations for the joint management of their forests. Annually, our members harvest over 100 thousand cubic meters of wood. The largest percentage of non-state forests in Bulgaria are located in the Western Rhodopes, where our headquarters is located. These are mountainous areas covering the municipalities of Chepelare, Smolyan, Lucky and Banite, with non-state forests accounting for over 50%. Our forests are some of the most productive coniferous plantations in the country with an approximate growth rate of 4 - 5 cubic meters/ha per year.
